Installation
Overview
On
the day of installation the installation engineer
will liaise with your ICT Coordinator to
confirm details as per survey or what was agreed
verbally.
The
interactive whiteboard will be fixed to the
wall at the desired location and height from
the floor.
The
data cables from the interactive whiteboard
to the PC will run in trunking usually to the
bottom right or bottom left of the whiteboard
in relation to the positioning of the lap top
or pc and terminates at the junction boxes
at this location.
The
projector must be securely fixed to the ceiling
of the room using the appropriate mounting
bracket. If a false ceiling is present, a hole
will be cut in the ceiling tile, a trim plate
fitted and a fixing pole of appropriate length
passed through and attached to the bracket
above maximum length we can install at is 3
meters . Typically, the bracket is fixed
so the projector is approximately 2.1 to 3.5
meters from the interactive whiteboard. The
projector will be positioned no less than 2.4
meters from the floor and will sit secured
using the appropriate fixing plate to the pole
mount.
The
data cables from the projector will either
be contained in trunking along the ceiling
or out of sight above any false ceiling. The
cables will run vertically down the wall in
trunking to the termination boxes .
Speakers,
if ordered, will be mounted either side of
the interactive whiteboard. Cabling for the
speakers will be run behind the board, and
will be routed through the existing trunking
(used for the whiteboard data cable) to the speaker termination
faceplate. The amplifier or Video will
be positioned close to the PC, laptop.
All
cabling will be securely contained in 16 mm
x 25 mm white trunking.
The
software for the interactive whiteboard will
then be installed on the PC or Lap Top , in
order to demonstrate the operation of the whiteboard,
projector and the key elements of the interactive
software. Please note, we do not install on
to servers within networks if this required
you need the appropriate software from the
interactive board suppler and the administrator
is required to be present. Once all elements
of the installation are finished, you
will be requested for your signature on our
sign off form with any comments. This
sign off is to indicate that you are satisfied
with the installation.
